There Is A Difference

Americans believe that the Zarqawi group and the Iraqi Resistance are one but that couldnt be further from the truth. The Iraqi Resistance is a legitamite movement opposing the occupying forces but the Zarqawi group is simply a terror organization. Zarqawi kills so many innocent Iraqis that his movement is quickly becoming discredited here in Baghdad, but the Iraqi Resistance is gaining steam every day around the country. With every picture from Abu Ghraib and every word of non-sense from Bush they gain power and will. For the Americans to defeat the insurgency they need to understand it and that is something they simply havent done.

Kidnapping Craze

Kidnappers are taking advantage of the terrible state of security in Iraq and are kidnapping children on a daliy occurance. Baghdad is in a state of such lawlessness that parents are afraid to allow their children to play or even meet with their friends. I guess that is the liberation that Bush promised us.

A New Fedayeen

Today Mr. America (Allawi) announced the creation of a new security force, much like the CIA of the USA. The freedom we supposedly recieved when Saddam fell are already being infringed upon. Allawis promises are no better than Bremers. What a mess !

Two Explosions, More Death

I was awaken today by blasts, which is nothing new. More deaths came with the blast. God Help the families of the victims. Baghdad is becoming more violent by the day. Americans sit in their large chairs and watch us die on Television but all they see are numbers. They dont know what really happens. Americans talk of progress but all I see is death. I might have been considered "pro-occupation" one year ago but now i dont know what to think. Prison Abuse, Siege on Fallujah, No Weapons... Was all of this worth it?

The past weeks have been harsh to my family. One of my close friends was killed in the violence and the insecurity has gripped the family. I now realize how much this country has changed. This is not Iraq anymore, it is USA jr. Im tired of the violence, im tired of the occupation(that hasnt ended) and im tired of loosing friends in vein. I promise to my readers that God willing I will begin posting regularly.

Hello readers, my name is Amal. I am a 19 year old (male) who lives in Baghdad. I have heard and seen the violence that has occured during the occupation. My goal is to make those in the west understand how the average Iraqi feels. I hope to do some small travels in the surrounding areas and post my experiences on the web. I will do my best to post every few days but getting online is especially hard for me, please bear with me and i hope you enjoy the ride.
